Halloween – Skelly Belly

So, I was less than motivated to dress up this year (I’m having a major lack of energy) but I figured I should suck it up and come up with something fun to wear for my friends Ashley’s and Jose’s Halloween party last Sunday. I had a fun pair of skeleton tights that I hadn’t worn yet so I wore those. And just for fun I cut out a quick skull image from one of my many black tee-shirts so that the skull stretched out across my big prego belly. It was fun to have at least some semblance of a costume – I kept saying that I was dressed with the spirit of Halloween in mind rather than in full costume. What do you think?

Pumpkin Carving!

A few weeks ago we had some friends over for a Soup Potluck and Pumpkin Carving! Here are just a few snapshots of the amazing pumpkins being carved.

Just check out Jen Oak’s amazing kitty pumpkin – and then head on over to her website and check out her amazing art and illustration! She just released an amazing 2012 calendar featuring pinup illustrations of “ample babes and curvy vixens”. By the way, don’t you just LOVE how Jen’s hair perfectly matches the pumpkins!

It was a fantastic night spent with friends, food and fun! We had so many fantastic soups (along with my own specialty: mole chili) as well as salad and bread. Our friend’s Nick & Natalie brought gluten free Pumpkin Bread that was just out of this world! I haven’t been going out as much as I used to lately and so it was really great to have our friends come to us! I simply can’t wait to do it all again!

Halloween – Better Late Than Never!

Pat and I carved pumpkins on Halloween this year. We also made chocolate chip pumpkin bread with cream cheese frosting and Cajun spiced roasted pumpkin seeds, watched Evil Dead AND Halloween and went to an amazing house party/show where we saw Harbinger — who haven’t played out in quite a while from what I hear. Harbinger features members of Blatz, Crimpshrine and the Fleshies so good times were had for sure!

I didn’t dress up this year for the first time in quite a while but I can’t say it made much of a difference because Pat and I had a great time hanging out with each other and with some great friends!
