Waiting For My Man…

Pat and I had a really great weekend! Friday night’s show at Gilman was really fun even if it was ridiculously cold here in the Bay Area that evening (it snowed in the hills). And Sunday we went out to lunch with a couple friends of Pat’s and then did a little vintage shopping. I’ve been sticking to my 30 for 30 rules and not shopping, but I DID do some window shopping and hinted to Pat about a couple awesome necklaces for my birthday next week.

Pat took this photo of me while I was sitting on our front porch. We both thought it reminded us of Andy Warhol or the Velvet Underground. What do you think? Is there a little Lou Reed in me?

I’m wearing all items from my 30 for 30 but you can’t really see them in this pic. We’ve been really bad at getting pictures taken for the challenge, forgive me!

30 For 30 Round-Up!

Hey peoples! Here’s a little update for you on how my 30 for 30 challenge is going. So far I haven’t missed a day, which is awesome! I’m dressed in my 30 for 30 items today but am skeptical that I will be able to take photos today. But it might happen! Anyway, here are days one through nine! Do you have a favorite?

I think my favorites are days four, five and six! I LOVE my outfit I wore on day five – it reflects what I wish every outfit had. I little vintage and a little edge. What do you think?

8/Thirty – Oh The Romance

Hello Everyone! This is my outfit from yesterday – Valentine’s Day! I didn’t intend to wear such a VDay themed color scheme, but apparently I was feeling the love without even being aware. My Mister and I don’t really go in for this romantic holiday. We tend to spoil each other on a daily basis instead. But we DID go out to eat some Thai food and see the film The Illusionist. The film is super sweet and I highly recommend it for anyone who is a fan of The Triplets of Belleville (same director and animation team) and Jacques Tati (he wrote the original screenplay – and he makes a cameo). It’s also up for an Animated Film Oscar!

Boots – Kensie “hiking” boots. Man do I LOVE these boots. They are all furry inside and super comfy. I only wish I could wear them all year round, but for some reason they just look so wintery to me!

Scarves – Leopard Print scarf from Calivintage/Floria Vintage giveaway and Blue flower scarf “stolen” from my sister.

It was a rainy night last night and my new Kensie boots got all wet and drippy. I actually love it when my shoes get worn in so I’m not too bummed. I honestly <3 rain, even when its blowing so hard that my umbrella turns inside out and I end up completely soaked. This happened to me today on my walk home. It was really PRETTY though.
